It's lunch time here at work which means I have time to tear apoart artwork and I will do my best to be constructive and honest with it.
Freddy, your piece works really well. I love the detail that you got into the picture while keeping the stark contrast. The one thing I think I have a problem with is is Batman's cowl around his neck. There just seems to be too many wrinkles in it and it could be distracting to the overall piece. I wonder if there would be more focus on Batman's face and the Joker's hair if there was less wrinkle in the batcape and cowl. Batman needs to learn to iron.
The biggest issue I have with Mine is Michaelangelo's back leg. The foreshortening just doesn't work and it appears that his leg is unnaturally shrunken. Also, Raphael (I think he's the one with the Sais) His shadow seems to be a bit awkward and placed there. There needs to be a more natural pose even though it is just a shadow, I don't think it represents an accurate shadow that you would view from underneath.
After long thought, I like the simplistic background of the black cityscape on the white sky. I thought of putting more details in there but looking at the picture as whole, I think it would distract from the focus which is the Turtles.
And last but not least, Anthony.
I think the last two pieces you;ve submitted have felt a bit rushed. At least in comparrison to some of the later work I've seen from you. I think in terms of the assignment, the contrast works well. I like how the shadow of Wolverine's hand falls across his shoulder and chest. I guess I just know you can present a tighter piece so that's what I want.
