Rod Salm is a professional creative designer with a background in marketing and fine art. He has great passion for illustrated stories of all kinds. As well as Children’s books, his largest illustrative work is the ongoing web comic Death At Your Door (samples below). Rod sat down with ANAComics.com to talk about his career and what is next for him in the comic book business.

Anacomics.com: “Rod you have a diverse skill set, as well as an eclectic personality, what has influenced you, what are your interests?”

Rod: “Everything from Cartoons, drawing, bonsai trees, cage fighting, fantasy novels, magic, Alexander Dumas, and all things publishing geeky.”

Anacomics.com: “That certainly helps with the eclectic personality, now share with us some details into your diverse skill set. What are your creative skills?”

Rod: “I work professionally in Design (both graphic and web based), along with Promotion, and Advertising in the digital world. In the world of comic books and web-comics I am a Writer, Penciller, and Inker.”

Anacomics.com: “Now you have been working in comics for a while, what projects have you worked on or created?”

Rod: “I am the Creator, Writer, Artist, and Letterer of ‘Death At Your Door’, a weekly web-comic running every Monday for almost two years.
Anacomics.com: “Two years is an awesome accomplishment! What is next for you?”

Rod: “I plan to finish the stories of ‘Death’ in this world. Work on my inking and storytelling skills for an original graphic novel I’m working on in 2012.”
