Kat Hary is the Co-Creator of THE MIDNIGHT RAIDER and is currently writing volume 1. Planned to be released in the Summer of 2012 as a Four issue mini-series through A.N.A Comics.

Kat’s has Created or Co-Created: The Midnight Raider, The Osprey, Black Terrapin, and characters set to appear within the BRETHREN: Universe.

Anacomics.com had the chance to talk with Kat, and learn a bit about her passions, and what drives her as a creator:

Anacomics.com: “Thanks for taking the time to answer our short creator survey, Kat! Let’s get right into it. Can you tell us about your interests?”

Kat: “My interests are all over the place. I love spending time doing anything with my husband and children. I love sitting and doing nothing. I love reading. I love video games, especially exploring the worlds created by the design team (really hate walls in games that interfere with my curiosity). I enjoy playing games with my family. I love to create with words, yard and fabric. I love spending time with my close friends.”

Anacomics.com: “That’s great how you put that about walls that interfere with your curiosity. Very cool! That leads nicely to our second question. What creative skills do you bring to the table?”

Kat: “My creative skills… Hmm, I can sew, bake, cook, crochet, knit, write, paint (walls, but also took painting in high school). I have a knack for finding the flaw to bring a picture to perfection. I also have a knack for finding spelling and grammatical errors.”

Anacomics.com: “As you move into a more active role on the creator side of things, are there any specific goals you have?”

Kat: “My creative goals – to finish the crocheting projects that I have started. Finish writing volume one of The Midnight Raider and start volume two. Then start writing another project that has been on the back burner since TMR was started.”

Anacomics.com: “Hmmm. Mystery projects oh hold huh? Can you share anything about your creative projects that you have in the works?”

Kat: “My creative projects – My first project is my son, Benjamin. He is now 21, soon to be 22, and being his mom has been some of my most creative moments. My second project is my daughter, Meghan. She is now 19 heading toward 20 shortly. Meghan has forced me to step up my game as a mom, she keeps me on my toes. My third project is my daughter, Rebekah. She is 14 and a freshman in high school. She has forced me to step into another world where I learned I have more strength and patience than I realized. No she isn’t a problem child by her behavior, she has had some health issues along with having a higher intellectual level than her peers.

Another project I have been a part of is helping my husband, Anthony, find his true creative side. I push him on everything making him look past what he sees. One last project I did years ago was make a webpage for characters that I had in an online game. I wrote creative back stories about how they ended up in the town within the game.

I also created the character The Osprey from The Midnight Raider and her logo. I am very proud and happy with how both the character and the logo turned out.”
